The school's blog reports its in-school chess championship, held for the first time in two tournaments (primary school and secondary school types) in the school year 2025/26 (post of 28 July 2026), a sixth place at the Bavarian school championship in March 2026, the Middle Franconian championship of 29 November 2025 and, in December 2024, nine teams at the Middle Franconian championship in Erlangen; the school holds the seal "Deutsche Schachschule" with about 70 interested pupils.
