Clubs and rounds with a youth group 29

Most clubs of the area train their young players on the same day as the adults, an hour or two earlier: SK Nürnberg 1911, Eckental, Forchheim, Herzogenaurach, Schwanstetten, Cadolzburg and Kirchehrenbach on Friday afternoons, Zabo Eintracht and the Post SV on Wednesdays, Schwarz-Weiß Süd, Lauf and Röttenbach on Thursdays, Bubenreuth on Tuesdays. Several split the group by age or playing strength, and the TSV Neunkirchen am Brand runs a girls’ group in the parish hall of Dormitz.

The list also holds tournaments for the young: the NeST, a numbered series of children’s tournaments in Neunkirchen and Forchheim, and Rapid Neumarkt, a youth rapid day. The town library of Herzogenaurach has held a chess puzzle hour for children who know the moves, with registration. Several clubs pause in the school holidays; their pages say which weeks are skipped.
