Friday is the club night of Middle Franconia. In Nürnberg SC Noris-Tarrasch opens the Loni-Übler-Haus to all from seven, the Schachklub Nürnberg 1911 starts at a quarter to eight, SC Anderssen plays in its community room in Langwasser, Mühlhof-Reichelsdorf in a parish house, and SC JÄKLECHEMIE Talente Franken in the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG until late. The Schachgemeinschaft 1882 Fürth and the SC Erlangen 48/88 play the same evening.

In the county towns the pattern repeats: youth training in the late afternoon, the adults afterwards into the evening. So it goes in Forchheim, Herzogenaurach, Eckental, Cadolzburg, Schwanstetten, Schwabach, Hersbruck and Kirchehrenbach. For the clubs of Uttenreuth, Großenseebach and Gräfenberg, Friday is also the home match day of the league teams, so on some weeks the boards are taken by a match.
